Transaction discipline

How an opportunity becomes a transaction.

Iron Gate operates with a structured, case-by-case approach. Each transaction should be supported by credible counterparties, clear authority, relevant documentation and a commercially rational structure.

The tall centre bar is Commercial Assessment — the hinge of the whole process. Everything before it is gathering; everything after it is execution.

The process

Five steps, taken in order.

The same sequence is applied case by case — from first contact through documentation, commercial assessment and compliance review to transaction coordination.

  1. Opportunity Intake

Identify the product, asset, project, buyer, seller, mandate, introducer, investor or strategic partner, and clarify the commercial objective.

  2. Documentation & Authority Review

Review corporate documents, proof of product, proof of funds, mandate authority, licences, permits, vessel or logistics details, and broker-chain disclosure where relevant.

  3. Commercial Assessment

Assess pricing, product specifications, route, payment structure, timeline, parties, risk points, transaction economics and execution feasibility.

  4. Compliance & Banking Review

Screen relevant counterparties and transaction elements for sanctions, AML, PEP and adverse-media, source-of-funds, source-of-product and banking acceptance risks.

  5. Transaction Coordination

Support the progression of LOIs, ICPOs, contracts, inspection steps, closing documentation, offtake discussions, funding discussions or other agreed transaction processes.

Third-party services

Specialist work is handled by specialists.

Where logistics, storage, inspection, transportation or terminal services are required, Iron Gate intends to rely on appropriately qualified third-party service providers, and expects counterparties and service providers to comply with applicable quality, health, safety, security and environmental standards.

Next step

Tell us where your transaction stands.

Send the product, the project or the mandate, and we will tell you plainly whether we can help.
